When a WiFi camera is a good choice
- One or two indoor monitoring points
- Rental spaces where new cabling is difficult
- Two-way audio or pan/tilt convenience
- Short local recording through microSD
When to prefer a wired system
For many camera points, long storage, centralized playback, continuous recording or critical business coverage, an NVR/DVR system is normally easier to manage and more stable.
| Feature | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| WiFi band and signal | Weak or congested coverage can cause delays and disconnects |
| App and cloud dependency | Check account security, region support and playback behavior |
| Storage | Confirm card size, overwrite, event recording and cloud fees |
| Power | Most WiFi cameras still require a reliable power socket |
| Privacy | Use unique passwords, updates and controlled sharing |
Price should include the memory and setup requirement
A low camera price may not include a proper microSD card, bracket, waterproof protection, router improvement or installation. Ask for the total use-ready cost.
